Roehampton University
How do you describe London, the biggest city in Europe? Having spent five months as an exchange student in the British capital I've found that there is no way of expressing what London is, because what isn't it? London offers something for everyone.

When I arrived at Heathrow Airport in early January last Spring I had three ridiculously heavy bags packed with shoes and great expectations about the adventure I had ahead of me. I didn't know this then, but this would turn out to be a journey where I'd meet friends for life and completely fall in love: with the beautiful, intellectual and absolutely crazy city of London. Description and accommodation London

Roehampton_University_LondonRoehampton University is London’s only campus university. Boasting 54 acres of parkland in the capital’s south-west, Roehampton is an ideal environment in which to learn. All of this, just 30 minutes from the heart of London, one of the liveliest and most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

One of the world’s greatest knowledge capitals, London boasts a wealth of internationally renowned facilities such as libraries and museums available to students. Culturally the city is an international centre for film, music, sport, nightlife, theatre, fashion and art.

London’s many districts, each with their own distinctive character, provide opportunities for an extraordinary range of social and cultural experiences. Covent Garden, South Bank, Soho, and Westminster are all within easy reach of the University. Even closer to the campus, students will find a wide variety of places of interest, shopping areas, bars and restaurants, many ideally suited for students on a tight budget.

Roehampton_University_housingAll first-year international students at Roehampton University are offered a place in our on-campus accommodation (known as ‘halls of residence’) although you must apply for this accommodation to confirm your interest.

The rooms are single occupancy and self-catered with the option of private bathroom and internet connection. Postgraduate or mature student accommodation is available at Roehampton University and is recommended for those who prefer more peaceful surroundings.

Many students live off campus too. Some international students prefer to live even closer to central London with its many attractions, and others like to live be close to Roehampton University.

I study at Roehampton University

I'm currently a student at Roehampton and I can really recommend the school to others. The Campus is beautiful and really close to richmond park as well, and it takes about 30 min. to central London.

I recommend living on Campus, there is always something fun going on, and it is a great way to meet new friends!

But remeber to bring warm clothes, London gets really cold during the winter! Apart from that I really love everything about the city, there is something new to see and experience every weekend!
