Northern Alberta Institute of Technology is located in friendly, multicultural Edmonton - a city that boasts a low cost of living, beautiful walking trails, parks, and lots of sunshine. Students will enjoy experiencing four distinct seasons while you acquire relevant, practical skills training in NAIT's small classes. Graduates quickly find employment, with a placement rate of over 90%.

Small classes mean that Northern Alberta Institute of technology's students interact easily with instructors and each other. The campuses are compact enough to be friendly and accessible, but big enough to provide the facilities, services and support that count.

Friends and memories are made with special events, intramural and intercollegiate sports, clubs and social activities. From weekend ski trips to Canada’s largest Welcome Week celebration, NAIT students know how to have a good time.

Northern Alberta Institue of Technology students connect with the latest technology both in up-to-date labs and resource areas like the Computer Commons, where dozens of high speed computers provide round-the-clock student access. Case studies, hands-on projects and work experience components give students real-world industry connections. The Student Employment office connects grads and employers by supplying online job postings, arranging on-campus interviews, managing resume databases and more.

Edmonton is a diverse, multicultural city of 770,000 people who enjoy a high quality of life amid an abundance of arts, professional sports, and entertainment events as well as parks that form an extensive network of trails for hiking, biking, jogging, and cross-country ski enthusiasts.

The city is home to the world-famous West Edmonton Mall and the popular market, cafés, and pubs in Old Strathcona. The mountains, forests, lakes, and grasslands of Alberta's spectacular landscape are within driving distance.

Edmonton offers diverse opportunities to explore arts, sport, recreation, personal growth and wellness. You're sure to find something to pique your interest. Check out the City-operated attractions, arenas, municipal golf courses, recreation centres, senior centres, stadiums, sports fields and tennis courts.

NAIT International Education can help students find a place to live by providing listings of home stay, room and board, house, and apartment rentals. Monthly rent for apartments (including shared accommodation) ranges from $300 to $600. Monthly fees for home stay is estimated at about $650 (including meals).

Currently, NAIT does not have student housing on campus. Students can, however, search for rental accommodations via an online housing registry. The registry also lists people who are looking for a roommate from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
