Welcome to Niagara College. Welcome to Success.

Niagara College offer more than 90 full-time programs and hundreds of part-time courses to help you pursue those goals. 4 specialized campuses offering applied learning with a large range of full-time post secondary, graduate certificate, apprenticeship, skills training programs, and co-operative education programs.

Since opening its doors in 1967 in the City of Welland and expanding into St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara College has grown to become a leader in education and training and one of the most enterprising colleges in Canada.

In the 1990s, operations were consolidated at three campus locations. The Welland Campus is home to the programs in technology, communications, health and community, policing and public safety, and automotive.

The NOTL Campus, which opened in 1998, provides state-of-the-art facilities and “living labs” for our environmental, horticulture, hospitality and tourism, and business programs.

Glendale is also home to the Centre for Advanced Visualization, which applies virtual reality technology to projects from around the world, as well as the Niagara College Greenhouse and Teaching Winery – the first teaching winery in Canada.

In March 2004, the School of Hospitality and Tourism and the Niagara Culinary Institute relocated from the Maid of the Mist Campus in Niagara Falls to a new facility at the NOTL Campus. The new facility features food preparation laboratories, a 100-seat dining room, wine tasting lab, classrooms and office space.

In response to the rapid growth of Niagara’s tourism sector and the anticipated demand for thousands of new workers, the College established the Tourism Industry Development Centre (TIDC). Housed at the Maid of the Mist Campus in Niagara Falls, the TIDC serves as a dedicated industry development and training resource for the hospitality and tourism sector.

Together, the specialty campuses, partnerships and outstanding programs combine to make Niagara College a growing and dynamic asset to the regional economy – vibrant, enterprising and focused on the future.

Niagara_College_niagara_fallsNiagara College, located in the Niagara Region of Ontario, is a wonderful place to live, work and study. Niagara's unique location is loaded with entertainment and 'fun stuff to do' options. Start on campus, or check out our cities: St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls. From Niagara, it's a 45 minute drive to Buffalo, New York and only an hour to Toronto. Whether you want to enjoy the great outdoors, browse our small town attractions, or take a short trip to the big city, Niagara is - a great place to be!

Niagara-on-the-Lake is a Canadian town located near where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario in the Niagara Region of the southern part of the province of Ontario. It is located across the Niagara river from Youngstown, New York, USA.

Niagara Falls is a Canadian city on the Niagara River. The city is dominated by Niagara Falls, a world famous set of two large waterfalls on the Niagara River and benefits from the fact, that both falls, the American and Horseshoe, can be best seen from the Canadian side of the river, thus presenting the city one of the major tourist attractions of the world. The natural spectacle brings in millions of tourists yearly. The city permitted the development of a tourist area along the falls and the gorge. This area which stretches along the Niagara River parkway and tourist promenade is particularly concentrated at the brink of the falls and, apart from the natural attractions along the river, includes huge parking lots, souvenir shops, observation towers, high-rise-hotels, casinos and theatres, mostly with colourful neon billboards and advertisements.

Niagara_College_housingNiagara College offers many services for international students. All are intended to make your stay in Canada as easy as possible. The college works to understand students and their goals and focus services around that understanding.

Before you arrive at Niagara College, the International Housing Coordinator can help you find a place to live. Most of the students choose to stay in Homestay, but you can also choose to stay in the on-campus residence, or in a shared apartment. Check the Niagara College website for more information.
