Description of Australian Defence Force Academy
 Welcome to study in Australia at the Australian Defence Force Academy!Located in the national capital, the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra is a centre for higher education for the Australian Defence Force. Within the Academy, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has established a college, known as UNSW@ Australian Defence Force Academy (formerly University College), responsible for conducting academic programs and research. UNSW@ADFA offers undergraduate programs leading to UNSW bachelor degrees in Arts, Business, Engineering, Science, and Technology. Additionally we offer opportunities for graduate study and research leading to higher degrees, diplomas and certificates. The main campus of The University of New South Wales is situated in Kensington, an inner south-eastern suburb of Sydney. In addition to the campus at the Australian Defence Force Academy, there is a campus at Paddington and a number of research stations in other parts of New South Wales. It is one of the largest of the Australian universities, having a student population of more than 35,000 and a full-time staff of some 5000, of whom more than 2000 are teaching and research staff.

Canberra
 Canberra, home to the Australian Defence Force Academy, is the capital city of Australia. With a population of over 340,000, it is Australia's largest inland city. The city is located at the northern end of the Australian Capital Territory, 280 km (170 mi) south-west of Sydney, and 650 km (400 mi) north-east of Melbourne. As the seat of the government of Australia, Canberra is the site of Parliament House, the High Court of Australia and numerous government departments and agencies. It is also the location of many social and cultural institutions of national significance, such as the Australian War Memorial, National Gallery of Australia and the National Museum of Australia.
